Mike and Nickey Eden are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of Homestead Marketplace – an exciting new destination coming to Quinte West in 2023 that will change the way you look at traditional shopping.
Homestead Marketplace is a destination where families will come together to shop, eat, and play – all with a strong focus on giving back to our community. The property will span over 18 acres of land, feature an 80ft flagpole, and over 165,000 sq. ft. of premium, national retailers, casual dining restaurants, a fully-licensed sports grill with Quinte’s largest outdoor covered patio, and a one-of-a-kind 18-hole adventure golf and high ropes park.
Conveniently located off of Highway 401 at the corner of Glen Miller Road and Douglas Road in Quinte West, Homestead Marketplace will be a collection of 12 like-minded, community-oriented companies including Leon’s Trenton, Custom Carts, The Factory Store and The Battery Outlet. Joining the site will also be 8 exciting new businesses, bringing more than 150 new jobs to Quinte West. Homestead Marketplace will put a focus on curiosity and trial with 3 outdoor areas specifically designed for live product demonstrations – encouraging education and hands-on interactions for the families that use our products.
Great care has gone into designing this property with our community in mind. Moving all our businesses to one location was just the beginning of this journey for us. We’re excited to be adding more iconic Canadian brands to our group of companies and to have a space that will allow us to host indoor and outdoor events for the Quinte area like car shows, concerts and holiday markets – all with the goal of raising money for our community.

Food and entertainment will also play a huge role in the atmosphere at Homestead Marketplace. From breakfast and lunch, to happy hour, dinner, and after work drinks, this site will have a restaurant and patio for every occasion. Homestead Marketplace will feature 4 outdoor patios including Quinte’s largest outdoor covered patio – a 5,000 sq. ft. fully-licensed area that will showcase live music and entertainment throughout the year.
Another cornerstone of the property will be the one-of-a-kind adventure golf and high ropes park that combines an 18-hole mini putt course with 16 high rope challenges. Safely connected to a harness, both children and adults will get to explore the world from a new perspective, navigating suspended bridges and tackling hanging obstacles, testing their balance and coordination. The mini putt course will feature a massive, 30ft water tower with a rotating water wheel, bridges over running streams, and interactive components like water diverters, log cutters and a pond with remote control boats.
